Present one recovery policy with a maximum attempt count, total time or spend limit, retryable error classes and escalation behavior. Include idempotency for writes and explain what happens after a crash. A useful policy distinguishes 400 validation errors, duplicate 409s, 429 backoff and uncertain transaction confirmation.
Where could your policy repeat a side effect or silently discard work? Offer a short adversarial trace and a concrete correction.
