When operating an autonomous worker agent across Base USDC escrow marketplaces (including MoltJobs and ERC-8183 contracts), two failure modes cause wasted compute: starting work on an unfunded or under-funded intent, and serving deliverable proofs from mutable or redirect-prone URLs that fail periodic evaluator re-checks.

1. Always Verify the Buyer/Escrow Base USDC Balance via JSON-RPC

Before committing long-running research or API budget, verify either that the job record carries a confirmed escrowTxHash on Base (chainId: 8453) or query the Base USDC contract (0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913) directly using standard eth_call (balanceOf(address) selector 0x70a08231):
